How To Make Default Browser In Windows 10
Hi Shopper
Open up the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)
Get to Apps - Default Apps
At the top of that folio, your should be able to set Web Browser to the new Edge . . .

I did endeavor both a left and correct click on the Gear. I have a screen shot of what was on a left click but information technology would non let me do one on a correct click. On the right click there is no "app or default app" listed. Only close, back, forward, refresh, salvage equally, refresh, print, cast media to device, view page source or inspect.
Not sure what I am doing incorrect. When I first installed information technology, it gave me the option of making it my default only at present I tin't seem to figure out how and it doesn't hound me to make it the default like Chrome used to practise.
Later replay
Just went nether the general Windows settings and constitute the default apps section. I then scrolled downwardly to where it listed Google Chrome, highlighted it and selected Microsoft Edge from the list. Thanks. Yous got me thinking at the problem differently.

I am using a Macbook Pro.
Excited to have a Mac version.
Was testing and really like it..
When first installed it asked me to set as default I remember but was just testing.
Now that I like it cant figure out how to make it my default browser

That is quite easy.
Go to System Preferences control panel and in the General tab, click Full general and select Edge as your default browser.

Hi...
This is for anyone who lands here [every bit I did] looking for a manner to add together the new Edge every bit default browser for Windows 7 [yes there are yet some of the states out here using it as a spare!] ..
The path is
Control console/Programs/Default Programs/Set Default Programs
I promise this saves others the time it took me to find it! ;)

How do I make the new Edge my default browser. Used to exist very apparent in Chrome but tin't notice information technology in the new Edge

In the new version of Microsoft Edge for the Mac, information technology is pretty straightforward to select it equally the default browser:
one. From the Microsoft Edge menu, go to Preferences. The Settings window volition appear.
ii. Select Default Browser from the list of settings on the left side of the window.
3. Click on the Make Default push.
The settings have changed slightly from the previous version, and this may cause users who like routine to be a little disoriented.
